Beach Tags
Posted on May 21, 2020
We are getting close to Beach Opening! To help speed up the Beach Tag process please fill out the following form with your updated information. This will help eliminate having to do it at that beach. It will also help us limit contact.

If you have not paid your dues yet, please get with Nate Pounds KHA Treasurer. We cannot issue beach tags, if dues have not been paid yet.

Thank you everyone and we are looking forward to a great beach season.

Waldon Road Resurfacing
Posted on Apr 14, 2020
The Road Commission for Oakland County will be doing work on Waldon Road this year between Baldwin Road & Joslyn Road. The work dates are still to be announced. The work is part of their Spot Resurfacing Program. For more updates and other roads in the county please visit the RCOC Spot Resurfacing Program website. It is unclear at this time if this will be the entire length of Waldon Road or just small sections. This resurfacing program is not part of the Baldwin Road Reconstruction project.

Lake Friendly Pet Care
Posted on Mar 25, 2019
Animal waste when left on the ground is not only a terrible surprise for your shoe, it is also a source of bacteria and parasites that are harmful to human health. When it rains, stormwater runoff from lawns and streets carries this waste - full of harmful bacteria - into storm drains and into the lake. Dog feces is as high as 3rd on the list of contributors to contaminated water. Cleaning up after your pet is one guarantee in the life of every pet owner. Contrary to popular belief, dog feces is not fertilizer and does not provide any benefit to the soil. This article from The Clinton River Watershed Council provides more information about keeping pet waste out of our lake. If you are too busy to clean up after your dog or have physical limitations, Scoopy Doo Pet Waste Removal Services in Oxford (ph: 248-969-9400) may be able to help you.
Voorheis Vixens
Posted on Jun 6, 2017
We have established a kayaking club which encompasses everyone who lives in Keatington on both sides of the lake.  The name of the club is Voorheis Vixens.
We meet every Monday (weather permitting) at 6:30 pm in the vicinity of the 2nd island where the mouth of both halves narrows.  We ask that kayakers be safe and stay close to shore as we meet because boats are still actively on the water until 7:30 pm.
Exciting times on Lake Voorheis -  Look for us out on the lake with our logo on orange shirts.
