Check out the presentation that Orion Township did for all of the HOAs in the Township. There is some interesting information for Township residents as well free services available for the asking.
One big item to note is that the Building Codes have changed and Smoke Detectors are now required in ALL sleeping areas, aka bedrooms, not just in the hallway outside of them.

Lake Friendly Pet Care
Posted on Mar 25, 2019
Animal waste when left on the ground is not only a terrible surprise for your shoe, it is also a source of bacteria and parasites that are harmful to human health. When it rains, stormwater runoff from lawns and streets carries this waste - full of harmful bacteria - into storm drains and into the lake. Dog feces is as high as 3rd on the list of contributors to contaminated water. Cleaning up after your pet is one guarantee in the life of every pet owner. Contrary to popular belief, dog feces is not fertilizer and does not provide any benefit to the soil. This article from The Clinton River Watershed Council provides more information about keeping pet waste out of our lake. If you are too busy to clean up after your dog or have physical limitations, Scoopy Doo Pet Waste Removal Services in Oxford (ph: 248-969-9400) may be able to help you.
